Fun In Galway The Quay Galway what's not to like fantastic venue. Excellent service staff and atmosphere live bands late bar great DJ. Just as enjoyable afternoon evening or late night. Very well run and very very organised a must if visiting Galway.
Great atmosphere Lovely place to stay and visit during lockdown. Covid restrictions are well managed. There's an option of outdoor and indoor seating. Book in advance where you can. Pizzas are delicious but food options are limited if you are looking for something different. Best place to go for atmosphere in current climate.
Great atmosphere I was just thinking about this place... I was there just over a year ago (I said September but it was actually July) with a mate when we did a little motorbike tour. We popped in for a pint after we'd had dinner... what a great atmosphere. Such a fun, happy place - music, dancing and generally good spirits. It made a real impression on me in what was my first visit to the Republic of Ireland, and in a way highlighted a couple of very nice things about Ireland - an appreciation of live music and a desire to get together and have a nice time. I hope The Quays has got through Covid-19 / lockdown etc OK.
GREAT NIGHT OF FOOD AND MUSIC Our Ireland trip was great. For me Galway was my favorite City and Quays was my favorite place. We walked from The Parke House Hotel (great hotel) to the latin Quarter for a qucik pint and to experience the medevile flare of the City. We went on with the intention of going to Quay Street Kitchen but when we reached the Pub and heard the music we decided this was the right place to enjoy the evening. We needed to wait 15 minutes for a table to open up so we went to the bar to order a drink. As we ordered we were immediately identified as Americans and a few locals struck up a conversation with us. We were enjoying ourselves so much with our new friends we were almost sad when we were told our table was ready; but we were also hungry. The soup was excellent, the salmon fresh and delicous, the lamb was tender and incredibly tasty, and the Bacon and cabbage was wonderful. On top of thta we stayed long enough that we heard 2 different performers, and both acts were outstanding. All in all it was a wonderful night in a great pub in a great City.
